The word "TOPHET" is mysterious.
it holds multiple meanings. In the Aramaic language, it is related to a stove or oven and the idea of fire, flames, and inferno.
According to medieval Rabbis (Chazal), who interpreted the Torah, the source of the word comes from the word "TOF", meaning drum, as drumming was a part of the sacrificial offering ceremony.
The word "TOPHET" is first mentioned in the Bible in the "Book of Kings" as the place of worship in the "Valley of Ben-Hinnom" near Jerusalem. According to biblical stories, children were sacrificed to the god Molech in this valley.
In modern Hebrew, the word is associated with a terrible pain or a large explosion. It is commonly used in reports of wars and terrorist attacks, always describing something terrible and negative.
Like the word "TOPHET", the show is a mystery that travels through time and through the different stages of human beliefs. It is a kind of "archaeological rock opera" that explores the explosions of right and wrong through the perspective of a woman. It is a story of a mother who faces gods, priests, rituals, and sacrifices in every stage of history, both in the past and in the future.
